Canada-wide · Taking new engagements from October

We write the plan.
Then we help you make it true.

We write investor-ready business plans, bank and BDC loan plans, immigration business plans and the financial models underneath them — for Canadian companies raising capital, borrowing to grow, or facing the decision that decides the decade.

§ 01 / Services

Six services. One standard of proof.

Most firms sell you either the document or the thinking. We do both, because a plan nobody can execute and a strategy nobody wrote down fail the same way.

Service 01

Investor-ready business plans

The full document and the model behind it — market, economics, operations, capital plan — built so an investment committee can pressure-test any number to its source.

  • Narrative plan, 30–60 pages
  • Five-year integrated financial model
  • Investor deck and one-page teaser
  • Diligence question bank
Service 02

Bank, BDC & CSBFP loan plans

A lender underwrites your worst plausible year, not your best. These plans are built around debt service coverage, covenant headroom and a downside a credit adviser can take to committee.

  • Term debt and expansion facilities
  • Working capital and seasonal cycles
  • First-facility and start-up lending
  • Weekly cash modelling where it matters
Service 03

Immigration business plans

Plans supporting entrepreneur and work permit applications, written to the evidentiary standard the file demands and delivered to your lawyer or RCIC — who owns the application, not us.

  • Provincial entrepreneur streams
  • Owner-operator and work permit files
  • Canadian market evidence, sourced
  • Staffing plan with NOC codes
Service 04

Financial models & forecasts

Three-statement models with the operating drivers exposed rather than buried. Delivered unlocked, documented, with a recorded walkthrough. We also rebuild spreadsheets that grew instead of being designed.

  • Five-year integrated model
  • Monthly year one, driver-based
  • Base, upside and downside cases
  • Model audits and rebuilds
Service 05

Market research & feasibility

Before the plan, the question of whether there is a business here at all. The only engagement we run that we are happy to end with a no.

  • Bottom-up market sizing
  • Feasibility studies with a go / no-go
  • Competitive and pricing research
  • Every source named and dated
Service 06

Strategy & growth advisory

Pricing, channel, portfolio and retention — the four levers that move enterprise value fastest. We find which one is binding for you, then rebuild it.

  • Pricing and packaging redesign
  • Go-to-market and channel design
  • Portfolio and adjacency review
  • Retention and expansion programmes

§ 02 / Method

How an engagement runs

Five stages, in this order, because each one is worthless without the last. You get a named deliverable at every stage — no engagement disappears into a black box for a month.

STAGE 01

Diagnostic

A half-day working session and a data pull. We establish what is actually true today — unit economics, cohort behaviour, cost to serve — before anyone talks about the future. Roughly a third of the time this stage changes the question you came in with.

Deliverable
Baseline pack + revised brief
Week 1
STAGE 02

Evidence

Bottom-up market sizing, competitor teardown, customer and channel interviews, and a scrub of your own data. We source every figure and keep the workings, because the question in the room is always “where did that come from?”

Deliverable
Evidence file + sourced assumptions
Weeks 1–3
STAGE 03

Model

An integrated three-statement model with the operating drivers exposed, not buried. You can move a price, a conversion rate or a hiring plan and watch the cash position respond. The model is yours, unlocked, with a walkthrough recording.

Deliverable
Financial model + scenario set
Weeks 2–4
STAGE 04

Plan

The document: strategy, market, operations, team, risk and capital, written in plain language by the same people who did the analysis. No offshore drafting pool, no template with your logo dropped in the corner.

Deliverable
Business plan, deck, teaser
Weeks 4–6
STAGE 05

Defence

We build the diligence question bank against your own plan, then sit on the other side of the table and ask them. Two rehearsal sessions are included in every engagement, and we stay reachable through your raise.

Deliverable
Q&A bank + two rehearsals
Week 6 onward
§ 03.1
Our board had seen four consultants in six years. This was the first team that came back in week three and told us the thing we’d asked for was the wrong thing to build. That conversation was worth the entire fee.

§ 04 / Sectors

We go deep in six sectors and decline the rest

Sector knowledge is not a landing page claim — it is whether we already know your channel structure, your regulator and your buyer’s budget cycle on day one. Where we don’t, we say so and refer you on.

§ 05 / Difference

Four things we do that most firms won’t

01

Partners do the work

The person in your first meeting writes your plan. We cap each partner at four live engagements, which is why we sometimes ask you to wait six weeks.

02

You keep the model

Unlocked, documented, with a recorded walkthrough. No annual licence, no dependency, no call to us every time you need to change a hiring assumption.

03

Fixed fee, named scope

Priced before we start, in writing, with the deliverables listed. If the diagnostic changes the question, we re-quote once and you decide.

04

We will tell you no

We have declined roughly one engagement in five since 2011 — wrong sector, wrong timing, or a plan built to justify a decision already made.

§ 07 / Next

Start with the conversation, not the contract.

Tell us what you are working on. If we can help, we will say how and what it costs. If we can’t, we will point you at someone who can — and neither answer takes more than a week.

  • 45-minute call with a partner, no charge
  • A written scope and fixed fee within three business days
  • Nothing signed until you have both
